Job description
Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced SAP Event Management (EM) Consultant with 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP EM configuration, implementation, and integration with SAP Transportation Management (TM), SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in supply chain visibility, event tracking, milestone monitoring, and exception handling.
Key Responsibilities :
Solution Design & Configuration :
- Configure expected and unexpected events, event handlers, and rule sets within SAP Event Management (SAP EM) in integration with SAP TM and SAP ECC.
System Integration :
- Integrate SAP EM with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Transportation Management (TM), and SAP ECC using IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and SAP BTP.
Event & Milestone Tracking :
- Monitor end-to-end transportation processes and track real-time operational events against predefined milestones and benchmarks.

Exception Management :
- Identify, monitor, and resolve unexpected events, delays, and transportation exceptions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and technical teams to improve transportation visibility and operational efficiency.
Reporting :
- Utilize standard SAP EM reporting tools to provide event tracking, milestone status, and exception reports.
Testing & Support :
- Prepare functional specifications, execute test cases, troubleshoot integration and interface issues, and provide production and go-live support.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Event Management (SAP EM).
- Strong knowledge of SAP EM configuration, event handlers, expected events, unexpected events, and rule sets.
- Experience integrating SAP EM with SAP TM, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA.
- Good understanding of SAP integration technologies, including IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and SAP BTP.
- Strong understanding of supply chain visibility and transportation processes.
- Experience in milestone tracking, event monitoring, and exception handling.
- Ability to prepare functional specifications and support testing activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
