# SENIOR DESIGNER – WOMENSWEAR
##
## Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of women’s wear collections in line with the brand’s identity and seasonal direction.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging fashion trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and techniques relevant to the brand.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and storyboards for each season.
- Oversee the end-to-end design process from concept to final sample, including sketching, fabric selection, trims, and detailing.
- Collaborate closely with merchandising, sourcing, and production teams to ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
- Ensure adherence to brand aesthetics, target customer profile, and cost parameters.
- Review prototypes and provide design inputs during sampling and fittings.
- Mentor and guide junior designers in the development of styles, presentation, and research.

- Maintain awareness of sustainability goals and incorporate responsible material and process choices wherever possible.
## Qualifications
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Fashion Design from a reputed institute.
- 6–8 years of experience in women’s wear design (ethnic or fusion), preferably in the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong understanding of women’s wear silhouettes, fabrics, surface embellishments, and garment construction.
- Creative eye for colour, proportion, and detailing aligned with brand positioning.
- Ability to translate trends into commercially viable collections.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
- Strong understanding of Computer-Aided Design (CAD), draping, and pattern-making concepts.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach to work.
## Experience
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in women’s wear design, focusing on ethnic or fusion styles within the fashion or retail sectors.
